1. About these terms
These draft terms describe the proposed conditions for using the Richwise website and personal finance application. “Richwise,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to the service operator. The operator’s full legal name, registered address and legal contact are pending owner confirmation.
An effective date and an acceptance process must be approved before these terms take effect. Reading this draft does not create a new agreement. The Privacy policy separately describes information-handling topics and items awaiting confirmation.
2. Eligibility and account responsibility
Richwise is intended for people in the United States and Canada who are able to enter a binding agreement. Any minimum age requirement and handling of accounts belonging to minors must be confirmed before launch.
Use accurate account information, protect your sign-in access and use only accounts you are authorized to manage. Do not impersonate another person, share access without permission or bypass access restrictions. Each person should use their own sign-in rather than sharing credentials.
3. Households and business records
A Richwise household may have one or two people and up to ten active businesses. Financial accounts such as bank accounts, cards, loans and investment accounts are separate from your Richwise household account.
Accepting a partner invitation creates household membership with access to shared household money records. Invite only someone with whom you intend to share those records, and review the sharing consent before accepting. Business records are kept separate from household totals. User-private Wiseguard conversations and tone preferences are not shared with a partner.
4. Education, not financial advice
Richwise is a money coach. Its tools, lessons, levels, estimates and AI responses are for education, not financial advice. They are not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold a financial product and do not replace qualified professional help for financial, legal or tax decisions.
You remain responsible for your decisions, tax reporting and checking information against original financial statements. Richwise does not guarantee that you will save a particular amount, achieve a level, obtain financing or reach a net-worth milestone.
5. Estimates and the Crystal Ball
Crystal Ball projections depend on your recorded balances and chosen assumptions. Savings figures are estimates, not promised results. Past market returns do not guarantee future performance.
The current projection model compounds assets while keeping debts fixed. Inflation changes displayed purchasing power rather than saved balances. Taxes, per-asset returns, debt interest and repayment schedules are not fully modelled. Missing history cannot establish a reliable trend, and changing a projection assumption does not change your saved money.
6. Free and Member plans
Free costs $0. It excludes bank and investment connections, the Crystal Ball, AI-powered features and businesses. Member costs $10 per month for a household of one or two people, plus $10 per month for each business. Prices are in CAD in Canada and USD in the United States. Plans are monthly only, and everyone pays at least their first month.
AI-powered features include Wiseguard chat, automated categorization, reading statements or receipts and AI-generated coaching cards. Available tools and provider connections may depend on country, institution, consent and completed service setup. Test purchases do not grant live membership.
7. Payments and renewal
A paid membership requires an authorized payment method and confirmation from the payment provider. A checkout return message alone does not establish payment. The household owner manages billing and business add-ons.
The final renewal authorization, applicable tax presentation, failed-payment treatment, cancellation effective date, price-change notice and refund policy are pending owner and legal approval. No refund deadline or non-refundable rule is established by this draft. The approved checkout terms must clearly disclose charges and renewal conditions before payment.
8. Cancellation and loss of paid access
When membership ends, the household returns to Free. Bank connections are removed and AI features turn off; cancelling membership does not delete your recorded data. Reconnecting a provider may require new consent.
Saved records remain distinct from live bank access. Removing a connection does not erase balances previously saved in Richwise. Cancelling membership, disconnecting a bank, archiving a file and requesting account deletion are separate actions. An account-deletion request is pending until a trusted process completes it.
9. Connected financial accounts
Connect only financial accounts you are authorized to access and review the institution and provider consent before linking. Institution information can be delayed, incomplete or unavailable. Compare imported balances with your original statements.
Connections are intended to read account information, not to move your money. Provider coverage and refresh timing vary. Do not treat an application balance as confirmation of a transfer, cleared payment or available credit. Unsupported currencies may not be refreshed; Richwise must not invent currency conversions.
10. Documents, invoices and receipts
Upload only files you own or are authorized to use. Avoid including unnecessary identification numbers, unrelated personal details or another person’s sensitive information. You are responsible for verifying the merchant, date, amount, currency and category before saving an expense.
AI reading can misread a document or suggest the wrong head. Review and correction are required before the document creates a spending transaction. These tools do not establish tax deductibility, prove payment or replace original receipts and records. Archiving a document is not the same as permanently deleting it.
11. Wiseguard and other AI tools
AI responses may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your circumstances. Do not rely on a response alone for high-impact money decisions. Verify facts, figures and assumptions independently.
Hype, Honest and Roast tones change presentation, not the reliability of the information. Your chosen tone and private conversation are not for comparison with other people. Do not submit material you are not authorized to share or use AI tools to request unlawful activity.
12. Circles, invitations and offers
Circle membership does not give friends access to household money, private levels, Wiseguard conversations or deals used. The permitted member listing is limited to first name, avatar and joined date, together with circle tier and paying-friend count.
Rewards depend on verified billing eligibility, not merely sending invitations or creating accounts. Third-party offers may have separate eligibility, availability and terms. No offer constitutes guaranteed approval, coverage or savings. Referral thresholds, reward timing and any promotional changes must be disclosed in approved offer terms; this draft does not create a new reward promise.
13. Acceptable use and uploaded content
Do not misuse invitations, send unsolicited messages, upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with service operation, scrape private records or use another household’s data without permission. Do not use Richwise for fraud or unlawful conduct.
You retain your rights in your original content. Any license for Richwise and its providers to process that content must be limited to operating the features you request and must be approved in the final terms. This draft does not grant a general right to publish household data or use it for unrelated purposes.
14. Availability and third-party services
Richwise may depend on identity, payment, bank-connection, email, hosting and AI services. An outage or provider restriction can affect a feature. Third-party services may have their own agreements and privacy notices.
No continuous-availability or error-free-service guarantee is made by this draft. Any final suspension or termination provisions must provide appropriate notice and remedies where required by law and distinguish loss of access from deletion of records.
15. Legal rights and disputes
Nothing in these proposed terms is intended to remove rights that cannot lawfully be waived. Consumer protections may differ by province, territory or state.
Governing law, dispute procedures, any warranty disclaimers and any limitation of liability are pending qualified legal review. This draft does not impose arbitration, a class-action waiver, a liability cap, an indemnity obligation or a chosen court. Those provisions must not be inferred from general service descriptions.
16. Changes and contacting the operator
The final terms should state how material changes will be communicated and when they take effect. An updated draft date is not itself acceptance of changed terms.
Operator legal name: pending confirmation. Mailing address: pending confirmation. Legal and support contact: pending confirmation. Do not send sensitive documents to an unverified address. The owner must provide these details and approve this agreement before it is presented as effective.
